Scripture: If any household is too small for a whole lamb, they must share one with their nearest neighbor, having taken into account the number of people there are. You are to determine the amount of lamb needed in accordance with what each person will eat. Exodus 12:4
Observation: I realize that in the passage here God is referring to families who cannot use an entire lamb themselves for the Passover, but what a parallel for our relationship with Christ and those around us! How important was it for Israelite families in Egypt to get together and make sure the blood of the lamb covered their doorposts? If the blood wasn't there, death was imminent. The blood was the only way God would recognize that they were His people as He came through Egypt.
Application: It is so important that I share my Lamb with those around me. Without the covering of His blood, spiritual death is imminent. And He has given me more than enough to share with others. His supply of grace is unlimited.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for the shedding of Your blood on the cross. Thank You for covering us and our sins, that we may be reconciled to God. I pray God for opportunities to share Your love with others, and I pray that I walk in obedience when those opportunities arise. Thank Your for such a precious gift of life!

You're right on, Rachel. We have been given grace and light-- not to hide under a bushel, but to declare far and wide.
