The Simple Woman's Daybook - Take 1

I spotted this on Peculiar's website and it looked like fun so I thought I'd give it a go.

***Tangent: Speaking of Peculiar, she just got back from a mission trip to my city, and her write up is here. You know how you get that nice, warm feeling if someone does something kind for you or your family? Well, it's the same way when it's your city. Go read and be blessed. I know I was. Thanks again, Peculiar! We must meet up when you come in November! End Tangent.***

For Today...

Outside my Window...I see rain, glorious rain!

I am thinking...about everything on my to-do list and my hubby starting class tomorrow.

I am thankful for...the rain, the cooler temperatures, lower gas prices, my family (both immediate and extended).

From the kitchen...is whatever I left in the crock pot this morning. I think it was some sort of beef.

I am wearing... a purple & green shirt with a black tank underneath, jeans, and my black flip flops.

I am reading...during the day: Alvin Plantinga's God, Freedom, & Evil (it's a philosophy book my hubby had to read for one of his PHD classes; he thought it would *fun* if I read it after him so we could discuss it); at night before bed, a re-read of Beth Moore's Jesus the One and Only.

I am hoping...that my hubby's first day of class goes will and for traveling mercies and amazing works of God for all of those going to India tomorrow.

I am hearing...the sound of the speaker from where Princess is taking a nap in the nursery (hmm, must change this to Jeremy Camp music STAT).

I am creating... a spreadsheet showing the cost benefits and creative benefits of switching our main church computer to a Mac.

Around the house...well, I'm not there right now but I know I have about 17 loads of laundry to do tonight, plus fish around for all the coupons I need to pull out for shopping tomorrow.

One of my favorite things... listening to my daughter try to sing songs... it's music to my ears (no pun intended) since she's had so much trouble with her speech.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week... going to Sam's tonight and the grocery store tomorrow; church on Wednesday; dinner with Hubby's co-workers on Thursday, going to Mississippi on Saturday to train some people on a software program... and at some point I'm going to sleep!

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you... I have no picture. Sorry. Maybe next time! All my photos are on my home computer!

Yep, you're busy. Love the "whatever I threw in the crockpot"......been there.

Awwwww, what a cutie singing! Hey, did you know that Mother Goose Rhymes is like aeorbics for the tongue? Yeah. We went through years of speech therapy, and I had to go to college to find out that gem. And then I tried it, it's fun!

Have a great week.

Rachel, I enjoyed the glimpse into your day. Thanks for sharing with us. And thanks for going off on your little "tangent" about me. I really appreciate that. I'm just happy to have gotten the opportunity to come to NO and share. I pray we get to see each other also. We'll see if God will allow us to come back.
